The Differences in Chinese Ceramic Sanitary Products | 9CREAT

Chinese ceramic sanitary ware should be compared by agreed specifications, approved samples and inspection records—not by a presumed quality ranking of production regions. This guide helps B2B buyers assess ceramic toilets and compare factory quotations on a consistent basis.

[Part 1: Production Location Is Not a Quality Grade]

A supplier’s location can help identify its manufacturing and export arrangements. It cannot, by itself, establish ceramic density, glaze quality or flushing performance. Treat the following locations as sourcing context, not a quality hierarchy:

  1. Chaozhou: 9CREAT’s ceramic factory was established here in 2011. Its confirmed scale is 30,000 square meters, 30 production lines and a daily capacity of 2,000+ toilets. These factory facts do not establish superiority over every supplier elsewhere.
  2. Foshan: Evaluate the individual supplier’s production scope, model specifications, samples and inspection evidence. Do not infer that a product is better or worse because the supplier is based in Foshan.
  3. Northern Regions (e.g., Tangshan): Apply the same model-level checks used for any supplier. Price, water absorption, glaze defects and repair history must be verified individually; there is no fixed regional price gap or automatic quality penalty.

For a fair sourcing comparison, ask each supplier to quote the same model requirements, finish, accessories, packaging, quantity and trade term. Different specifications can explain price differences without implying regional inferiority.

[Part 2: Define Ceramic Acceptance Grades in Writing]

Terms such as premium, first-class and repaired products are not a substitute for an agreed acceptance specification. Define what each term means in the quotation and inspection checklist:

  1. Premium: Specify the permitted appearance defects, dimensional tolerances and functional acceptance criteria. A premium label alone does not prove zero defects.
  2. First-Class: Define any acceptable cosmetic variation and the inspection method. Confirm that the agreed functional and market requirements remain satisfied.
  3. Repaired Products: Require disclosure of any repair or rework, its location and method, and whether it is permitted by the purchase agreement. Do not assume that every repaired item has the same performance or service life.

For 9CREAT orders, agree on the approved sample and acceptance criteria before confirming production. Use documented inspection results rather than grade labels alone.

[Part 3: Ceramic Toilet Checks for B2B Orders]

Use the following checks when assessing a ceramic toilet model from 9CREAT or another manufacturer:

  1. Ceramic Body and Water Absorption: Request relevant test results and inspect for cracks or deformation. Verify the applicable specification rather than relying on a high-density claim.
  2. Glaze and Surface Acceptance: Agree on appearance criteria and inspect the approved sample for glaze coverage, color consistency and visible defects.
  3. Flushing Performance and Water Consumption: Verify rated flush volume and performance under the stated test conditions for the exact model. Do not assume that all toilets use ≤6 liters per flush or meet the same water-saving standard.
  4. Accessories and Replacement Parts: Confirm the seat, hinges, flush components and replacement-part specification. Compare the same accessory configuration across quotations.
  5. Pre-Shipment Inspection: Agree on the inspection scope, acceptance limits, supporting records and packaging checks before shipment.

A factory quotation should be compared using the same specification and commercial terms. A lower or higher price alone does not establish product quality.

[Part 4: Compare Quotations and Inspection Evidence]

Separate the quotation comparison from the inspection comparison. This avoids treating an unverified regional price claim as evidence of long-term performance:

  1. Quotation Comparison:
    • Compare prices only after aligning the model, quantity, accessories and packaging.
    • Check whether testing, inspection and replacement parts are included or quoted separately.
    • Use the same trade term and identify freight, handling and destination charges.
    • Confirm production lead time separately from shipping time and customs clearance.
  2. Inspection Comparison:
    • Compare the approved samples against the same appearance and dimensional criteria.
    • Review the relevant ceramic-body and glaze inspection records.
    • Verify model-specific flushing performance and rated water consumption.
    • Check accessory compatibility, packing protection and the agreed defect-handling procedure.

The purpose of this comparison is to identify documented differences in specifications, inspection evidence and total sourcing cost.

[Closing]

To discuss ceramic toilet sourcing from 9CREAT’s Chaozhou factory, prepare the model or drawing, quantity, destination and acceptance requirements, then contact the factory. Request a quotation based on the agreed specification.
